Practice Facility

The Practice Facility at University Ridge stretches to 33 acres which includes a short game area for the Men’s and Women’s Golf Teams. The bent & rye grass tees and greens are good enough for all skill levels from beginner to PGA Tour players.

No golf cars will be provided for golfers without tee times.

All guests using the University Ridge practice facilities must check in to golf shop prior to use.

Hours of Operation (Practice Tee)

Opens:

½ hour before first tee time or 8am for guests without a tee time*

Closes:

4:00pm Sundays throughout the season (last range pass sold at 3pm)
5:30pm Monday-Saturday Course opening through April (last pass sold at 4:30pm)
6:30pm Monday-Saturday May through August (last pass sold at 5:30pm)
6:00pm Monday-Saturday during September (last pass sold at 5:00pm)
5:30pm Monday-Saturday October 1st through end of season (last pass sold at 4:30pm)

*Weather and amount of play can change open and/or close times

2026 Practice Facility Pricing*

No golf cars will be provided for range use

May 1st through October 12th (Turf Grass)

  • First Hour — $25 per guest
  • Additional ½ Hour(s) — $7.50+tax per guest

Course Opening through April & October 14th through course closure (Artificial Turf)

  • 1 Hour — $15.00+tax
Discounted Passes
  • (20) 1 Hour Passes — $400.00+tax
*Range balls are included on the day of play with a paid greens fee up to 45 minutes prior to tee time.
Practice Facility will be closed to the public on the below dates:
  • June 7th through June 9th — Boy's WIAA State Championship
  • September 12th through September 15th — Women's Collegiate Badger Invitational
  • September 26th through September 29th — Men's Collegiate Badger Invitational
  • October 11th through October 13th — Girl’s WIAA State Championship
