About University Ridge

....The golf course itself spreads across the beautiful rolling hills and bowls that accentuate the grass-covered, moonscape that typifies the moraine characteristics and then it gently flows into the dense forests of Wisconsin's Woodlands. 

Robert Trent Jones designed the course to be player-friendly, but also to be challenging enough to host some of the most prestigious NCAA and amateur championships.  He also designed University Ridge in a manner that balanced the natural beauty of the land with the demands placed upon it by supporting a world-class golf course.

In addition to 18 of the prettiest and most challenging holes of Robert Trent Jones Jr. Golf, University Ridge boasts an outstanding clubhouse with incredible golf course views from within and some of the most spectacular views from the 80-seat veranda.

Enjoy the offerings afforded by a full liquor license and some of the finest Wisconsin cuisine around.  There's no law that says you have to play golf to enjoy the trappings of this newly remodeled, 11,000 square-foot facility.  The clubhouse is open year round for dining and special events or parties.

For events, there is seating for over 100 guests in the newly expanded clubhouse.  There's also a mammoth hospitality tent that can accommodate an additional 150 diners--perfect for an outdoor barbecue.  University Ridge offers several catering and golf outing packages designed to meet each event's unique needs.  See the "outings" page for more information.

University Ridge also offers an award-winning golf shop where you can pick up everything you need for your day on the links, or pick up a UW souvenir for the family back home.

But the real reason for coming to University Ridge is, of course, the golf!  With the variety offered at University Ridge, you could play every day and never see the same course twice.  Your journey through the front nine, relatively open and a bit easier than the back, will lead you on a tour of various native grasses, marshes, ponds, ravines and ancient oak and elm trees--that's the easier nine.

The turn offers a chance to commune with nature as it cuts through the densest of Wisconsin Woodlands.  The finishing holes 16-18 are unmatched in the region as they roll across this undulating and varied landscape.  

The golf course is the brightest star in the constellation of services provided by University Ridge.  However, while University Ridge is one of the finest golf creations available in the Midwest, the club also offers all of the amenities you'd expect to find as a member at a private club with the service and professionalism that go along with it.
